Moving on

I’m going to skip ahead. Edmund’s already completed his days of being a teenager. The house has been remodeled in some places. Edmund has a girlfriend. Sorry, but I had to do this because nothing was going as I planned. But from now on, my Sims will direct their own lives.

These past few months have been so crazy for my brother Edmund and me, Ella.

It started after Edmund became an adult and I became a teenager. My parents became Elders. We were so happy about our new freedom. And I was finally allowed to do whatever I wanted–or so I thought.

I always wanted to cook. Mother finally let me when I turned 16. As you can see, it was a bad descision. I caught the stove and much of the kitchen on fire. Mother jumped in to help save me and the spaghetti, but she got too close to the flames. The fireman did come, but there was no way to help Rachelle.

My father, Giorgio, was at work when it happened. He came home from work and went straight to bed for a short nap. When he woke up, he asked me where my mother was. It was horrible for us to explain what happened. And I knew it was all my fault.

We had a small, private funeral for her. My brother’s fiancee, Lorraine, came too.

After a while, everything seemed like it was going to be okay. Edmund and Lorraine set a wedding date. They didn’t want anything fancy–it wouldn’t seem right.

Some time later Lorraine found out she was going to have a baby boy.

And she did! We named him Jacob. He’s adorable and got father’s eyes.

And then it was time for father to go. He’d been severly depressed since Mother died. How could my parents both pass away in the same time period? Especially after their grandson became a toddler? And Rachelle never even got to see Edmund married.

We’re doing better now. Lorraine is almost like a mother figure to me right now. She told me that it wasn’t my fault my parents died and that I shouldn’t blame myself. So we’re all trying to look on the bright side and little Jacob keeps us smiling.

And I may have made a new friend.
